dawlish Coasters 2023 awards evening

Dawlish Coasters recently hosted their annual Awards night, recognising the club members acheivements through 2023.

Prizes were awarded on the night to…

Most Improved Male: Charles - PBs in all distances

Most Improved Female: Ange - Multiple PBs, regular racing and constant improvements throughout the year.

Coaster of the Year: Sarah - An amazing running year and as secretary she keeps our club moving forward constantly. Basically a walking (running!) advert for Coasters.

Unsung Hero: Nick - Quietly in the background but often taking on the more challenging roles such as organising our amazing Oh My Obelisk Race 2 years in a row. Also makes an effort welcoming new members.

Personal Achievement award: Debbie - Such an inspiring lady. Takes on tough challenges and always so modest with celebrating her achievements. Achieves qualifying times for major marathons and it is a pleasure to watch her running journey. All done with a smile on her face and taking every challenge very much in her stride(s).

Spirit of Coasters: Dave - No, not that kind of spirit Dave! Dave has played a big part in Coasters over the last year, co-ordinating the run leaders rota, sending out regular emails to keep members up to date with what is going on, pushed to keep EA membership, worked hard researching new club kit options and always enjoys a crazy running challenge.

The Extra Mile: Stuart - Even when out due to injury multiple times throughout the year, he has given up his own time to help the club. He has qualified as a running Coach and this will massively benefit the club moving forward.

All run leaders and committee members were also recognised with some lovely gifts for their commitment throughout the year.

Most improved newcomers

Well done to Cheryl and Nick, pictured here with Chairman Chris who presented their awards.
